how can film speak of writing?
Lots of good observations here about fine films!
I had never heard that story about alternate proverbs used in foreign-language versions of The Shining. The proverbs they used aren’t nearly as menacing as “All work and no play…,” though — the English proverb is, in context, thoroughly creepy.
